Also do you notice a change in idle when plugging/unplugging your MAP at all? Maybe its just time for a new sensor.... I mean not to be a jerk but judging from your photo that...
Our cars use 5V max for almost all of its sensors. One is a 5V ref line, one is a ground and the other is the signal like TOO the ECU.
Meaning it reads changes to the 5V ref line and sends the voltage to the ECU to let it know the reading it's getting. It will rise up to it's max voltage...
The biggest thing that comes to mind for me is that even if you get one in some what rough condition you can still fix it up to run great for cheaper then a new car (2012).... but thats just me lol.
100% true. Its a CHEAP Turbo car is what everyone see's but no one seems to understand that it comes with 20+ years worth of work that needs to be done.... I could never understand why people got into these and NOT expect to have to work on it a lot.... it's over 20 YEARS OLD.
I have the same issue, i'm thinking it comes through the crack where the hood lines up with the light. I've been considering drill a small hole in the drip tray to let it drain out.
It seems like a lot of work when you could just get a targa shell and drop it in that.... You might want to consider that as it might save you some effort in the long run.
Agreed I always hit fuel cut at 10 psi. (14 on the 1J) Now I have the Greddy emanage and just clamp down the stock ECU voltage at 4.25v but I also have the Greddy 2 bar MAP sensor as well.
