Tomorrow I will probably try and remove the 3 downpipe nuts instead with an extension as mentioned above, as the tsrm also shows that. The elbow is held on to turbo by one bolt but it will probably be impossible for me right now ahahaa so I hope the downpipe to elbow bolts are easier to reach...
I've gotten 3 of the 4 bolts off, but the last one ( bottom one closest to engine) seems impossible to turn with any tool. I can get a wrench on it, but cannot seem to turn it as the space is small. The turbo is still attached to the engine and I want to get the elbow off without removing it as...
It's always ce to see pictures; who doesn't like sharing their progress? I love seeing what other people are doing, as words can only show so much.
Dare I say it :icon_razz: a picture is worth a thousand words.
yes I did ahahaa.

One more question, thanks for all of the help so far! :icon_bigg
For an auto tranny removal, do you have to remove the starter or is it only for manual transmissions?

Hey, I am preparing to try and drop the auto from my 87 turbo. How can I test my torque converter to see if it is still good? Does it only spin one way? When the car is on, no gears work and a whizzing noise can be heard, softly at first but it gets a bit louder as I increase the throttle. I...
Here in Canada that big BigMac is just called the double big mac, nothing strange been on the menu for a long time. I haven't put the jr. chicken and double cheese together yet, but I always order both when i go. I love having some beef, and some chicken as I can never decide between the two...
Not always true. I tried finding one for cheap and everyone except one person wanted over $300 for the auto. I remember it used to be thrown away! Good luck in the quest.

Very very nice install on the light. I much prefer the accord light over the square centre light. It flows quit well for sure! Something else I shall aspire to do one day hah!

This sounds like a race car that should be built by a team of people for a GT series-style race. All i can say is WOW, if you really do most of those mods, then you will have quite a vehicle. Quite a vehicle for sure, considering even after you spend $25k roughly plus car it will be infinitely...
I found this wire unattached in the bay just above the battery area. It is a single small wire, looks like a ground. If anyone knows for sure, or can go outside and look and find out where it attaches to that would be greatly appreciated :icon_bigg It is the brown wire with blue end piece. It is...
Wierd, when i tied pulling it straight down it would not fit throgu the small opening. I had to push it over the motor mount and let it fall through the bigger hole behind it. I also took off the accordian hose and intercooler pipes to better access the filter to get it off of the mount, but my...
I changed the oil and filter in my stock 7m turbo and MY GOD! I have heard it can be difficult, but wow! I wrestled with the filter for many hours, but eventually won. Terrible design, it seemed as though the filter location was an afterthought hahaa.I just wanted to share my difficulties with...
I prefer the Do Luck type 2 rear wing as seen in a previous post; pic 1 in my post. I also like the Bomex spoiler shown in pics 2,3 below. I also like the Gracer (Greddy) wing although hard to see in the pic 4, mainly due to it's clean lines. it looks like the Wings West spoiler on Ebay, which I...
That Gracer type 2 bumper is simply delicious! I had planed on doing the pre-89 Gracer, but after seeing this type 2 you have created I love it much more. Of couse, the type 2 would have to be pre-89 :icon_bigg. Signed up for mounted pics!

Wow! That is very interesting. I love how much room is under that hood  and it was done very well. Nice clean install you have done :bigthumb:.
