OK Everyone I had a previous thread titled the Car will not start. But anyways to update to my problem as the title clearly states I am not getting spark. Along with that, my injectors are not pulsing. So maybe its something that will fix the two together. But to give you all some more info on...
OK I am getting spark and have 38PSI in the rail and have double checked and yes i do have fuel in the rail but when I did the beep test mentioned earlier in the thread I did not get any injector pulse. But when i touched one of the leads to the injector resistor and the other to the wire near...
OK Here it goes.
1. Yes I have 12V at all injector plugs w/ key on.
2a. Not sure about the CPS signal at ECU, but I am pretty sure I have that because I do have spark but no inj. pulse
2. Ground pulse from ECU, I dont think I have well if I am understanding what you are saying.
Here...
OK MY MIL/CEL appears now. I followed the flow chart in the TSRM FI-29. Figured that out. But hit the injectors with a noid light and still no injector pulse.....? No codes either. I am also no longer worrying about that forth plug anymore. So to conclude this statement and to go further on with...
Alright guys I have an update. I have those two pins plugged in now, E02 and IGSW. My cars MIL light still does not come on when I turn the key to the "ON" position meaning my ECU is not being turned on, correct?
The other thing I can guess is I am missing two more wires. You guys know how...
Well what kind of electric store? Any suggestions.
I called toyota and they said most of the ecu pins for toyota cars are generic and mostly the same so I am going to take these two pins up there and see if they can help me. If not to an electronics store I go.
Well if I hear you right, you are saying there is no injector resistor on the car? Well then thats clearly explains your problem. Just to make sure you can post a pic and I will see.
Matter a fact, I can guarantee the car will start unless infact the timing or some other issue pops up. Who wants to bet on some Paypal. HAHA I am just happy I figured out the problem. Well not 100% sure its the problem but my ECU isnt even turning on. Cause when I turn the key to the ON...
Well if your facing the driver side fender, leaning over the car its right beneath your nose by the strut tower. Or just go to the front of the car and look at the motor, just to the right of the driver side strut tower. Grey box with 4 pin big yellow plug connector. Check for resistance..
Im not sure if I am understanding you correctly but from the way it sounds, when you turn the key, all you can hear is your fuel pump turn on, correct? So your motor is not cranking. So obviously your starter isnt doing anything. Are you sure the little clip is plugged into the starter. If it...
OH YEA BTW. Could that be Y my noid light was not flashing. Because the IG-SW or the E02 connector wasnt getting the greatest connection? But the plugs themselves have 12V. Who knows.
No need in using the timing light right now. Car will never start with the poor connections that go to the ECU IG SW and E02. Not in a millin years. So I am off to my buddys house to pickup those two plugs just so I can use two wires. I tried bending them, etc to make them lock, and all but no...
OK well lets see hear, I am going to go ahead and switch those two wires back around, if it gets rid of code 12 and the cranking sounds the same. I am going to do a beep test, cause I hooked up a noid light earlier to the injector plugs and it sure as hell didnt blink or flash. But I do have...
OK What do you know my CPS wiring was mixed up. The red and blue wires on the harness side just had to be switched. Well Now the cranking sounds much much better. So solved that problem. Now it is a consistent crank rather than all chopped up and retarded.
Now I have swapped many sensor on...
OK. I am going to double check the wiring on the CPS, I know I did swap that sensor about 2 weeks ago or so. Also while I am out there I will be hooking up the noid light to test if the injector plugs are firing. How can i verify that my injectors themselves are firing. Maybe they are stuck or...
OK well then thats narrows the problem way down. I have fuel. I have air. I have spark, not the best but probably due to timing issues. I have the 3 things you need a motor to run other than the timing correctly. I have messed with the CPS about 30 times now. Really, someone tell me how I am...
