If you are looking for 500 hp, then a good alternative would be a CT housing around a GT40 comp, with a dual ceramic ball bearing cartridge. It's exotic, but quick spooling (so I've heard)and will flow 500-550whp with supporting fuel and tuned. This guy builds quality, and can tell you more...
