Now if someone was opening hoods in my neighborhood, i would part a car with no engine out front, climb in the engine bay and close the hood but not latch it, and when the person opened it jump up, scream in his face and scare the shit out of him. Then beat him up. He would never do that...

This is the right answer however he was looking for the simplest (and i presume cheapest) solution which is turn down boost. Either way get a real boost gauge like seth said. This will give you a better idea on whats going on in there. Speed density MAFT Pro is also an option.

I'd say keep em, only because theres now holes in your hood. If you replace the hood id say ditch em.
