Is the turbo blown? I know my ctock CT was (is) and i was getting some smoke for a few hundred miles. The fact that you put new rings in it is probably what most of that smoking is if the turbo is good. Check ignintion timing for the crappy idle?

Man i remember this like it happened an hour ago.....I was peeling back the rubber gromet on the throttle assembly with a screw driver...(dont ask why) and that damn flat head slipped and went into my index finger! If there was ever a time that I thought about getting rid of the car, it was then.

no diagram but, you have one by the back of the head that goes on the engine hook, tranny ground, main ground with battery, coil pack, i know i am missing one, just can't think of it right now...
