Hi and welcome to SM. There are many threads dealing with GE to GTE swap. Take a little time and search the site and all your questions will be answered. I just did the swap myself and other than some labor intense moments, it's pretty easy. Good luck.
Hey thanks for the kind words, I really appreciate it.
The oil drain plug already had a little bit of a drip before I got the car started. The big oil leak started after it started. It's hard to tell in the video but as it's running, oil is dripping at an accelerated rate from somewhere...
I flew over socal today and saw a lot of snow in the mountains. It was pouring in LA too, rain that is. We landed in Hawthorne I think, can't remember.
Just got my rebuilt engine to start. Has a new OEM GTE oil pump. Idling at 700 or so rpms the oil pressure gauge was around 38-40 psi. I didn't let it warm up since oil was pouring out somewhere...oops, gotta fix a leak.
I have an anti-supra wife. Oil slick = bitching.
The problem will be fixed, I'm positive about that.
Long day sitting in a small jet with a guy who has the flesh eating bacteria. I was a little on edge.:aigo:
I'll be more positive, but was mostly just ranting. I'll do anything for you...
So I've been to St Johns Arizona, Los Angeles California and then Houston Texas and then finally back to Fort Worth. Whew, long day. I get home about one hour ago and stopped, looked under my car and my Exxon Valdez oil spill is spreading. Pisses me off. I have to work tomorrow and so can't...
Thanks George!
It just has an open downpipe right now. The stock na exhause is too short.
:umno:
:madfawk: Fred Haas.
It wouldn't have started without the shovel, I'm convinced of that.
