    Project Clean 87

Busy day today, with a lot more getting done this weekend. Starting off with getting my new harness bar last night from SupraStore. Removed the factory seat belts and installed the harness bar. I temporarily installed the new seat mounting bases, they fit perfectly. The dash, A-pillar...

Got one seat all dyed nicely, did the other. Went to pull off the masking tape around the shoulder harness holes and one of them broke on me :( To make things worse, the can of black dye I was going to use had a stuck lid. When I was able to pry it off it broke the nozzle and shot dye...

Fiber resin didn't turn out so good, so out came the foam insulation. It's curing right now so I gotta wait a bit before I can cut off the excess. I also picked up some body clips to replace the Oh Shit! handle bolts and foamed them in place as well. May have to finish off the holes with a...

    Project Clean 87

Got some work done on the dash tonight. Got the initial coat of fiber resin applied. The A/C vents above the glove box got a piece of cardboard as a filler to reduce the depth and fill in the majority of the hole. I'm not too worried about full adhesion since the 3M vinyl wrap will act as a...

Just ordered a pair of high current toggle switch DPDT center off momentary both sides 20 Amp. This will be the perfect replacement for the stock window switches. Putting these in the center console (although exposed access for them as oppossed to the other concealed switches I have). Also...

    Project Clean 87

Got the side of my front center console section repaired tonight. The angle is too much to do with 1 sheet and as such it was pulling away and looked like a bubble in the 2 corners. I cut that out and patched in a strip of material.

Been slacking on updates the last couple days. I got my Haltech IQ3 and seat mounts seat mounts the other day. Went to Tacoma this morning and picked up a replacement dash from a buddy along with some fabric dye to get rid of the aweful burgand color my door panels are. Gonna have to really put...

    Project Clean 87

Very long and frustrating day. Got the passenger door 90% done only to realize that I need to come up with a plan C to create my top cap for the door. Tried the hardboard, broke. Tried ABS plastic, couldn't keep a straight line and got wavey. Maybe I'll take a piece of pipe and use that, see...

Figured out the 2 wires I need from both doors to control the windows. Gotta trace the wires then relocate and multiply them (hooked up 1 way goes up, hooked up reverse goes down). I'll do that when I pull the dash. Got the passenger door panel 95% done. Just gotta create a top piece and epoxy...

Vertical radiator support all done and installed, both door panel mock-ups done. Stock interior door handles cut and epoxied to the new handles. Lots more to do tomorrow with the handles and door panels. Anthracite carbon fiber vinyl wrap is on the way to wrap the door panels. Gonna take a...

    Project Clean 87

Short night, only got in 2 hours on it tonight. Here's the new door handle design. 2 1/8" masonite boards will be epoxied together to make a 1/4" wide handle, then epoxied to a trimmed down factory handle and finished up with a fine tuning sanding to make it all look and flow smoothly like one...
