Hello Y.O. supra89T. The problem here doesn't appear to be the AFM, rather a minor design flaw of this turbo. Converting to external wastegate just may do the trick. :) Guess we'll find out Tuesday. Jeff

^Disagree with you there. ;) It's actually one of the more popular turbos for 7M's, as it has good response, pretty quick spool and will make good power uptop. On the flipside...I never quite understood if he meant he was going to rebuild the 1J and upgrade, or basically do the 7MGE-T build...
