I think it boils down to what I said earlier. Google search and I guarantee you will find many people with the same problem who have solutions.

More than likely its resistance built up in the switches. Power goes from the drivers side to the pass side. I'm sure someone will go further into it but usually its not a friction issue.

I bet a chrge pipe came loose. Check all connections. Any codes?

I can't believe nobody has suggested this yet but have you checked to see if the turbo on and off switch is in the on position in your hatch. Its under the spare tire.

Well guys, i think this might be it for this car. Got rod knock (didn't check the oil often enough) and to see if i wanted to rebuild i did a compression test and well, you can see. Trying to decide what to do from here, might start looking for an is300.
