More than likely its resistance built up in the switches. Power goes from the drivers side to the pass side. I'm sure someone will go further into it but usually its not a friction issue.
I can't believe nobody has suggested this yet but have you checked to see if the turbo on and off switch is in the on position in your hatch. Its under the spare tire.

I think its just a new car thing and in addition there is a definite delay whe pressing the gas but not any more than I've noticed in any fly by wire system. I don't think it will ever react as fast as the supra did.

Ended up picking it up. I've never owned anything this nice:O Exterior is nearly perfect, interior is the same. I suspect its been repainted but they did a really good job.
My only annoyance is that with fly by wire and i'm guessing a heavy flywheel it takes much longer to shift gears...

Well guys, i think this might be it for this car.
Got rod knock (didn't check the oil often enough) and to see if i wanted to rebuild i did a compression test and well, you can see. Trying to decide what to do from here, might start looking for an is300.
