no i'm saying try the red and black wire on the harness side and the yellows on the opposite plug (harness side)... knowing they are in opposite connectors greatly narrows the options
I'm looking to replace my head and am wondering if a 7mge head is a viable option on my 7mgte? are they completely the same or will it change my compression and combustion clearance?
found a solution to this cause it did it again the other day and i know it sounds bad but we put metered pressurized air into a vacuum line to bring it to zero pounds and she fired right up :)
yea my mileage is terrible... doing the math i'm getting 12 city and 18 highway but i know my back one is working cause my autometer afm is hooked up to it and it reads consistently and accurately.... maybe new front one needed?
No leaks and no check engine light
I'm gonna have to try this.... lol sounds easier than removing the bulb... electrical tape is solving my problem right now haha hillbilly? i know :)
Having said that, any insight on what wires yet?
No i haven't had time to mess with that.... the answer...
it's doing 45 at say 3500 in 3rd for example only... and i'll push in the clutch and go to shift and boom nothing in 1 sec flat... doesn't even sputter just shuts off
ok i guess i need to follow the above steps and see what i have lol It's been replaced and i couldn't tell ya what's in it now... i'll have to look in to this...
yes i think it was lol while my goal is around 400hp I tend to baby my car and would never push it that hard... i can't afford a new...
I have the same problem with mine in 1st and 2nd... but i'm a firm believer in peddle to the floor and i've never had any clutch problems(knock on wood) :icon_bigg
My biggest problems are a strange lurch under boost and i'm pullin 35lbs vacuum on the clutch so boost leak? not tttooooo likely...
What ratio LSD did 89 turbo's have? i thought it was 3.73? and i'm lucky if i get 15 mpg in my 88 turbo and i'm not a lead foot :( WTH???? lol
And 6 speed????
I just got done doing my 154 swap and was surprised to see that at the same speeds in my auto i was doing 500 rpm more with the manual... are the speed to rpm ratios really that different from auto to manual?
EX: auto at 60 was 2100rpm
Manual (r154) 60 was 2500 to 2600
This worries...
ok i'll have to try this out... wondered if that might be the case but every thing i read said they were on the same connector, but tried them all and ran outta time lol
any idea what bulb it is? lol i don't really have a place i can just randomly take my car apart whenever... so knowing...
I am happy to say this works beautifully :)
it runs it drives... but now:
Reverse lights = none did every red and yellow wire and that cannot be it lol
O/D off light any idea on how to stop the blinking?
ok thanks guys for clarifying i'm female haha no offense taken... i get mistaken for a guy online alot actually lol (kinda sad really :nono: )
And if you can get the links for the wiring that would be awesome :)
and do you think it would be okay to use the manual ecu with the correct...
don't have one sorry... not my car and it's two hours away lol the car itself is a 89 n/a shell (manual)
mine is a 88 turbo (auto) and no box (so hopefully i don't need it lol)
