I know you said you won't be far away from it but...cmon...what happens when you go into a store? what happens when you park it at night(I'm guessing a garage)?

The only way lower offsets would affect daily driving is if 1. you are running a lot of negative camber to fit them inside the fenders resulting in uneven tire wear 2. lower offset usually means it needs to be lowered more to look right, so in turn, it would be worse for daily driving because...
It's not plug and play at all. Physically, the engine is kinda plug and play but that even isn't 100% true. You need a 1J bellhousing, new flywheel, custom motor mounts(BIC), etc.
Seems like running the 7M electronics and ECU would be the best way but you still need to spend many hours...
