Never a fan of MAFT Pro. my friend had it on his 91 7m-gte, pain in the ass to mess with IMO. He got rid of it and got a MAP-ECU 2. man even i could tune that :biglaugh:

I'm have two 2jz wiring harnesses and 2jz ecu if OP needs one.

c'mon bro, I think Chris a lil more capable than you.. I think he can handle the maft pro. :biglaugh:

If I can kick AEM EMS's ass, emanage, hondata, safc2, and a little haltech... I can probably handle maft pro.

The thing is, I don't want to have to tune it, play with it, and I really didn't feel like doing a lot of wiring. I've got the COMPLETE 2jzGE out out my mk4, minus a/c compressor alternator and PS pump. Everything else is there, all of it. I've even got a front sump pan sitting here with pickup and baffles.

I basically wanted to drop it right in for super reliable daily driver, plus some more power(may take it to a .. few .. drift events) I've swapped in a supra diff, and I've got a 1jz bellhousing and flywheel here.

So sticking in a 2JZGE is pretty much a plug and play job then?

If so this sounds like a very attractive alternative to rebuilding my 7MGE...

i was wondering, what are the chances of running a 1jz-gte with a 2jz-ge harness with somemodifications to the harness ;)?

sounds like even more of a disaster than your last car, keep it up, I'm sure with time you can outdo yourself if you have more ideas like this! :biglaugh:

Answer please people. I'm in a serious no man's land as what to do with my Supra and junking it and replacing it with a Miata seems like a major possibly right about now...

It's not plug and play at all. Physically, the engine is kinda plug and play but that even isn't 100% true. You need a 1J bellhousing, new flywheel, custom motor mounts(BIC), etc.
Seems like running the 7M electronics and ECU would be the best way but you still need to spend many hours splicing the 2JZ harness with the 7M and making sure everything is getting the signals it should.
