Yeah Pete, you definitely should make the trip regardless, it would be a great relaxation for you regardless, plus there are alot of cool people to meet, it's always a fun party, plus some really badass cars. I'm still not sure how you're convinced it's a BHG, you haven't even ran it enough...

You'll be able to get alot of help in Houston, that's not a big issue. Is your coolant actually getting hot, it sounds like a wiring issue more than a BHG. Also, air in the coolant will make hot pockets like that. Get a FRAM fill kit and mount it in the heater hoses on the firewall and fill...
