Pic #4 is the O2 sensor, and I believe the large connector in #6 is a knock sensor.

I had a similar problem. Car would cut out pretty violently @ 10 -12 psi (stock CT 26), then would run normally (check engine light would stay on briefly). My problem was a bad knock sensor. Replaced the sensor and it has been fine.

Outstanding example of the original Supra. I loved those cars back in the day and unfortunately do not get to see many in this condition. I really love the simplicity of this build. This car is the poster child for less is more!

I had the same problem with my '89T. The noise sounded like a cam follower or valvetrain noise. The car ran fine aside from the faint tapping noise so I was not that concerned (I have had a couple of V8 engines that had let a rod bearing go and the noise from the 7MGTE was no where near as bad)...
