Congratualations!!! to my friend Tejon (aka 'SidewayzSupra') for his first place at last nights BOTI, "Street Tuner" class. His best time was 11.45@120mph, and his best 60', was 1.58...not bad for a stock twin, auto car!
Good job man!
When your ecu takes a shit, all sorts of crazy things start happening! My car would idle up to around 1500rpm, and then fluctuate between 1000-2000rpm, and go mega rich upon any throttle application. It was so unacceptable, I just parked it, untill I had another ecu to try. When I get around to...
I'm thinking about ditching the Hydra-fan, and going with the 2JZ wp, and fan. What exactly do I need to do this? Can I keep my perfectly good fan shroud from the hydra-fan? I have a small leak from my weep hole, and some fluid is getting on my upper rad hose from the hydra-fan. I know that you...
I had my car tuned Friday, and now it's doing it again. However, it runs considerably better through all the rpm range than it did before, save for right around 3000rpm. He tuned with my Profec B II at 1bar, and pulled out 18% fuel at the top with the SAFC II. Car pulls very hard now all the way...
Thank you guys for the imput.:icon_bigg I think this is the route I will go when I go single turbo on my car. Local tuner is very good with this, and has extracted some very good numbers from it, on RB 25/26 powered cars.
IIRC, the ring has nothing to do with ABS. It merely allows you to utilize the 350Z rotor with it' 66mm hub bore. Toyota uses a 60.1mm bore. Contact patch is diminished on the 350Z track rotor, however, it still does a fine job of stopping the car, considerably better than stock MkIII brakes...
Nope, he doesn't, but I'll bet he wishes he still did right about now!:sadwavey:
What is with the low count for RSVP's Mark???:wtf: I sure hope more than this shows up!
I have the same size rims on my Supra, and I'm running 235/45-17's up front (OD=25.5") and 275/40-17's rear, (OD=25.7") You could run the 245/40's, and the 255/40's though, as they are very comparable in height also. It's kinda personal preference too. I wanted a more agressive 'muscle car' look...
:nono:That is a Subaru wheel, and has to much positive offset for the Supra. You'd have to run at least a 20MM spacer for it to look half way decent also.
My advice, leave the Suby rims, on Suby's. Get something off of www.rbmotoring.com, that was made for the Supra. There are plenty on there...
Small update on that crazy Canadian's car (aka Upgradedsupra) It is very fast, in a different way than it used to be!:icon_razz I watched it paint very long (unbroken) black stripes on the freeway at about 60mph!!!:crazy1:
I don't recall hearing the rpm's fall off (you know, like when you have...
My car is(was) doing this also! I too, swapped out the ecu, and it still broke up, almost the same rpm as yours, (2700-3200ish) I've had some issues with wiring on my old school Tomei wb, so I don't know if it was going lean. I raised the fuel pressure to 42psi today, and it seems to have taken...
I have officially stopped liking MkIV's! I don't think there currently is a better looking Supra in the world!!!:bowdown::bowdown:::salute::::salute::::salute::
Lucky bastard! :icon_razz:biglaugh:
