Well, unfortunately it didn't seem to help at all. Feels a little stronger up top,(maybe) but it still has the horrible rough spot from about 2700-3100 rpm. Doesn't really matter what gear I'm in, just sputters and runs like total crap in that range, then smooths out and takes off like a f...in'...

Like a few others have alredy told you, its the 60' times that really help your et. Watch someone with a turbo car make a solo pass, when all they're trying to do is get there et down, and you'll see that they go when boost is up, not just when the tree goes to green.

I've had some driveablity problems with me 1JZ since being back on the road. Some sputtering and popping going up through the rev's when boosting hard. Seems to smooth out in 4th and 5th gear when not mashing it down. Pulled off the coil packs, and took off all the rubber boots, and discovered...

Looks like my recently swapped 1JZ is getting about 18-20mpg around town, and maybe 25-27mpg on the highway. Sure seems to be a little better than my mildly modded 7M setup used to get.:icon_bigg

I had all the symptoms of a bhg with my 7M, but when we tore it down, it didn't look blown. It had a HKS mhg and ARP studs, but I've been told that if you don't do the re-torque (5 heat cycles) you can blow the mhg too. Everyone that looked at my motor, said they think there was a small leak...
