I am curious as to why you waited so long. If you knew it was "bad", why didn't you do something about it sooner, rather than wait till the warranty expired.

I'm not sure what time I am even going yet. I would hate to hold anyone up. I think I'm going to take highway 12 straight east to I-5. It's the easiest way from here.

That's a turn on.

My guess would be a loose exhaust. Get underneath the car and hit the exhaust in different places with your hand. You might be able to recreate the noise that way. I could be wrong, but it's worth a shot.

Does it happen at a certain RPM in any gear? For example, 2200rpm in first, 2200rpm in second, third, etc. Only under boost?
