Taps to oil the turbo are also present in the GTE, and it has 2 knock sensors instead of 1 in the 7MGE.. 1 camshaft is different as well, can't remember which one at the moment though..

on the 7M, just change the rod bearings, use a good metal headgasket, torque down ARP head studs to atleast 75lbs, BPU the SOB and you can hit around 300hp, no problem.. end of story..

The more I look at the yellow one, the more I notice it's not an 88, looks more like an 87 or 86.5, as the 88's have different interiors, and 89's look like the red one you posted as well.. Can't wait to see what you turn her into though, hopefully a beast..!

You can paint them using stained glass paint, or use Lexus / Acura inserts to achieve that yellow look... I sell inserts or you can grab them off a junkyard Lexus LS400 or ES250...

get a tarp and some bricks for now.. all mkiii targas are the same, only difference is pre 89 targas had vinyl on the underside, while 89+ had carpeting.. otherwise its all the same..

Your amp might not be working either, I just installed 6.5" speaker pods in my 86.5, but they sounded like shit. I touched the cone and my finger went right through! I replaced those speakers with the stock speakers i took out of my 92 (which were pretty damn good, honestly), once installed...

I think in California you have to have a visible charcoal canister, so relocating it to the fender is a big no-no, even if it is there, you'll fail visual.. I have to ask my neighbor who does smog checks when he gets back from Mexico next week..
