    Who's doing it?

Then I should be ok running at stock boost levels? The whole reason I was asking is because of a mechanic I was talking to was saying don't use studs on a oem hg because the amount of torque required by arp would "squish" the gasket. He did not know much about supras though, just newer...

Who's running an OEM HG with ARP studs? For how long and have you had any issues?

    My 1991 Jay Blue Supra

I ordered about $400 worth of stuff from Champion today. It'll all be here in about a week. After our open house this weekend I'll starting pulling the engine. New OEM HG kit, seals, and new turbo gaskets. I'll scout around for some ARP's.

and I thought I had problems......

It don't FF's long to get their equipment ready. It's the standard to protect exposures (other houses and structures) when a fire like that is out of control. They could only be defensive in that case. It's a terrible thing what happened and all that matters is they got out alive. I could...

    7M BHG repair and rebuild

Well you obviously do not have a stock CT 26. A Toyota hg is just fine in a stock application. There's plenty of people here using one with the boost turned up a little and no issues.

I started with it almost empty. I got home and it was full and there was, once again, coolant on my intercooler.

I'm not going to bother. It's coming out and getting replaced no matter what. Today I drove out to the other house and drained the overflow down to a normal level. After cleaning up the garage a little I took off and just drove it for about 50 or so miles. When I got home the overflow...

    7M BHG repair and rebuild

Supradude...dude! You should have just pulled the motor and then taken it apart. It's so much easier outside of the car. Just unplug the harness from the ECU, undo your fuel lines, oil cooler/tranny lines, grounds and motor/tranny mounts and it'll all come out in one beautiful piece. It...

    My 1991 Jay Blue Supra

Thermostat is brand new. I changed that a couple of weeks ago when I first noticed the overflow bottle starting to fill up on it's own. No biggie Kristel. I bought the car with the original HG on it and have been expecting something like this since I got it. I'll just fix and move...

Today I was going to go meet a friend for lunch about 35 miles away in Granbury. I was on the phone with him at a traffic light when I happend to look down and my temp gauge was damn near pegged. I immediately turned off behind a gas station and killed it, popped the hood and could see where...
