Did you eat the brown acid? Don't eat the brown acid. It's bad....bad.
Kotu, the car looks extremely sexy. I still feel bad about the seats though. Get some of those leather seat replacements off ebay and recover them yourself, and then paint the plastic parts grey!!!
Well I did not go out to the house today. I have been unable to venture to far from the bathroom. :icon_mad: So I don't know what's lost or not. Going out there tomorrow for sure if it means eating a box of Imodium AD! I'll let you know tomorrow.
I did run down the the local Toyota...
This isn't about getting it done quickly so I can drive it again, ( ok, maybe a little ) but the main reason for a speedy fix is that I don't live at this house anymore. It's on the market and my wife is the listing agent. That on top of the fact she hates the very air it aspirates is not good...
Well, um let's see. Process of elimination. Crawl under the car to see if the cable came undone from the transmission. No? Pull the instrument cluster and check the connection back there. Undo it from the tranny and spin the shaft. Have someone sit in the car to see if the shaft is spinning...
Thanks guys.
I'm going to drain the oil today after I finish cleaning the block with some carb cleaner. I'll check it for possible swirls but I don't think any coolant every got into the oil. I've pretty much got all the old gasket scraped off.

It is warped by 6 thousanths (??) so it will be resurfaced for sure.
They did some kind of vacuum test on the valves and 4 of them did not do so well. I don't know if it's just on one cylinder but...
Welcome Back. As you can see I've got another supra I am not able to drive. I just like to sit and stare at them in my driveway. It makes my wife real happy too. One thing about this car that was different from all the rest was I was able to drive this one home on a 4 hour trip. Not much...
I'm out in Parker County between Weatherford and Springtown.
Tomorrow I'll tackle it with some carb cleaner to get what's left off.
I hope they will clean it all up for me. It's at Accurate right off of White Settlement Rd. They machined a head for my grey 89 NA and I was happy with...
Yeah, too much useless chatter and thread whoring posts....just like this one.:icon_razz
Dave, one day, and hopefully in the not so distant future, you are going to have to do a Readers Digest version thread of your black car.
Today I took the head into the machine shop. Not feeling very confident about it. Some of the valves had enormous amounts of some kind of build up on them. White crusty shit. They are going to pressure test it and resurface it. I really don't have the money to do a rebuild on it.
So...
