Why go instantly to an hg issue? Check your lines first. Also check for residue from coolant on the block and surrounding areas. Because if it is leaking somewhere, where it will burn off before it hits the ground, you'd never know you had a bad coolant line and just assume its an hg.

Check your coolant and heater hoses for starters.

So true. I've deleted stuff over the years bc I wasn't knowledgable in this car enough. Now working on these cars for a while, I realize things are there for A reason. ;)

I have a NON VVTI GTE head and have a VVTI intake manifold. I need to know if the manifold will work or not. I dont have lower runners for the intake or I would have just mounted it and figured it out myself. So will a vvti intake (I would swap the throttle body) work on a non vvti head...

GLAD YOU MENTIONED THAT!!! I completely forgot about that. I notice that after shut down of the car, there are air bubbles in the mechanical gauge line. Now, thats only AFTER I shut the car off. When its running, it is a steady stream to the gauge.

Whats the difference between a mechanical gauge and a diagnostics gauge???

Braided rubber. Hoses aren't clogged. I've checked through them as well. =[
