Unfortunately, no. I have the proper slip ring/"spiral cable" assembly for the new wheel, but upon removal of the bus wheel, and much to my dismay, there was no existing airbag wiring at all. It appears that the PO has disabled the airbag system as well as the ABS in this car.
Nice TRD full...
Yeah, I sketchily jacked up the car and set it down on ramps because it was too low to go up the ramps after the install. Able to get the torques down though.
Thank you all for the replies and the expertise. A full four wheel alignment was performed, but I cannot find the alignment sheet. I do know that castor is even at roughly 7.5° and camber is even at all four corners at either -1.0° or -1.5°. I can't remember if rear toe is zero or a small...
Hello,
I wanted to ask you guys about a problem I have been having with my alignment. I installed coilovers a while back and had the car aligned. The car pulls to the right slightly even after it was aligned, front toe was zeroed out. I think that there are two potential factors here...
You will have to get them from a dealer, I have not find any real stores or online auto stores that stock them either. I like to use Titus-Will in Seattle because of their extremely fast shipping and convenient online store (not advertising, just personal preference)...
You know what, I was looking at an EWD from a '90, so they may have changed connectors. I agree that 786 is a closer fit. Either way, it is also a 6.3 and has the repair wire part number of 82998-12070, I would expect these two repair parts to be very similar. But this point is now moot since...
Hey,
Welcome to SM from another Lurker. You can most certainly reuse the connector housing, but there is so little wire left on the terminal that it would be a sketchy fix to reuse that.
the cheapest and easiest way to do it would be to crimp on an appropriately sized female quick...
I believe they are from a '96 GT wheels. Credit goes to 87witmoreboost, here is his build thread, but he does not come on here much anymore.
They are 17x8.5, although the stamping just has 8J. I believe the Cobra wheels are 17x9 like in his thread. Same tire sizes, 245/40/17 and 255/40/17...
The adapters are available on ebay, but they are for putting T4s on your stock manifold. The bolt patterns should be the same, but you may have to remove some studs and use bolts to fasten instead.
I unbolted my lines from the compressor and pulled out the engine with all accessories attached. I'm replacing it with a 1JZ, so I can't use the 7M compressor anyway. My A/C did not blow cold before, and nothing came out of the lines when I disconnected them.
No, that one will not work on the 1J, you will need the 1J specific one: http://www.driftmotion.com/Heat-Shielding-Gasket-1JZ-GTE-p/dm299.htm
It's only the gasket between the lowers and the head, so you'll need to reuse or source the upper/lower gasket. Some people like to spray copper...
Using the DM kit with no problems here.
Be sure to put the Toyota gaskets on the turbo fitting (15471) and the oil return on the block (15473) as well. Note the tab orientation of that paper gasket (15473) in the image below:
I had the gasket facing backwards and it leaked.
I used liquid...
