and they wonder why photographers try to pack as much of their gear in hand luggage as possible....
i've got most of my gear in my hand luggage, with only 1 bit of long glass and a back up body and short glass in the checked baggage... (the short glass in the checked baggage is only a kit...
well, we'll be in NorCal from August 13th till September 5th... won't have a supra with me tho...
will be trying to check out a few of the meets listed here:

these are motly hot rod / street machine or just general automotive gatherings...
i was working for a company called national parts... we supplied to the place todd was working at the time... it also meant we could do the fire extinguisher and bonnet strut group buys... fire extinguisher prices turned out to be nothing special, as you could get them from big W for not much...
requiem: at the end of the day, you won't be building the cage yourself, so your best bet is to consult the person you plan on getting to build the cage... the right person will know the cams rule book inside out... and also know how to build a good strong cage to whatever rule set you choose to...

I was a little concerned that getting the car through rego in California may be a problem, as the rego in Nevada had lapsed a few years ago... (And I've had to re-register a car with lapsed rego here in Australia in the past)

The plan is, we're going to be in the US between the 13th of August and the 5th of September, so this is what we're planning on driving over there... then we will make a decision either to leave it there for another trip, or to put it on a boat and bring it back home...

These pics were taken by my brother at his place in San Jose...

and not too old either! there was a bit of concern on a Cadillac board I'm on that it may mean a lot of classic Caddies going to the crusher... but the the 25 year rule will save most of them...
mind you, i still have a problem with anything that encourages the crushing of cars... there have...
just get some new shocks that actually suit the way you drive and the roads you drive on... they'll be much better suited to your application than even brand new TEMS shocks would have been...
Cheers.... If it's running as well as it's supposed to be, I'll get my brother to take it on a decent test drive and maybe try to get it done then... Otherwise it'll have to wait till we get there...
as said above, new tyres come with the deal, ask for it, demand it, walk away if they don't agree... if it's a used car, check _everything_ - if something is 'passable' at the inspection, used cars won't pay for it to be fixed....
i can understand them doing it... we take copies of licenses of people we give loan cars to...
one of the guys here got his car stolen trying to sell it and part of the reason he got it back, is because the guy that stole it, left his license at another dealer he stole a car from during a test...
