i've only had mine die once... i went out to the track taking photos all day, then to a mates place for a bucks night, then crashed in the back of the car at 3am... (i think a bit of drunk msn'ing was involved as well) and then woke up about 9am with a flat battery.... but Garmin nuvi gps's use...

i'm looking around for a Tial 44mm gate at a decent price at the moment, and the killer is shipping... some places want almost $200 to ship a wastegate to Australia...

and, if he ships it today, UPS will get it to you on monday for US$750 or on wednesday for US$580...

ok.. just checked fedex and usps... fedex want US$535 for International economy and US$710 for International express and usps want $360 for a 66lb package (which is the limit for a priority mail international package to australia) or $615 for a 70lb package on 'global express guaranteed'

shipping quotes vary wildy, even for small stuff... i think usually USPS or FedEx come out cheaper... .I think driftmotion use FedEx for the stuff i get off them, cos it's cheap and quick...

Get better soon guys.... It sucks bad enough when the accident is your own fault (whether your driving or car was at fault), it's even worse when you're the innocent party on the other side of the interstate from where it all started....

On our last night in the US, we went to dinner and a movie at the Great Mall of San Jose. I must admit to being a little surprised at their pricing, it was about 50c more to see a movie after certain times and on certain days, which begs the question, if it's only 50c more, why not just set one...

After San Francisco, we only had a couple of days left in the US. and still had a heap of things we wanted to do. So, the following day, we headed down to Monterey and the 17 Mile Drive, which is a scenic drive through Pacific Grove and Pebble Beach. Pebble Beach is a gated community housing...

San Francisco's public transport system includes the famous Cable Cars, Electric Trolleys (Trams), Electric Buses and Diesel powered buses (currently being replaced with Diesel Electric hybrids), thankfully the stuff that looks cool is all electric or cable powered, and safe from the greenies :)...

After catching the ferry back from Alcatraz, we walked up to a place called Lou's at Fisherman's Wharf and had lunch, checked out a few shops and caught a cable car to the cable car museum. This is the cable car we caught, and it's apparently the newest one they have, being only about 6 months...
