When I bought my Supra, it came with a bunch of extra parts. I finally took these out of the bag since I thought they were junk... lol.
They are ARP bolts, assuming they are for the 7mgte since it is a turbo car. Since I have never owned/taken apart a 7m before, I just want to confirm...
My photobucket maxed out so I havent posted anything recently...
Made my patch harness for the wiring...
Still need to do fusebox side.
Also here is some progression of the engine as far as cleaning it up goes... Also converting from 1995 to 1992 electronics... Makes the EGR removal cake...
Nothing really new. Put the panels back on the car temporarily. I would say 8 bolts and a few zipties are holding the fender/hood/bumpers on at the moment. The bolts I took off were just so nasty.... I cant put them back on. Like I said, it may be my daily beater, but I cannot put back old...
Alright here we go. Like I said, I am new at this, but 2nd time shooting paint and this is what I could accomplish. I think its more than enough for a DD beater haha. I finished last night taking everything apart around 2am. Man, it looks 2 hours longer than I thought! Some crud got on the...
Okay this is my frist time ever shooting paint. Im practicing, but this was my last piece I did. Old pre 89 molding.
I chose NSX Berlina Black. Its really dark. So I should starting painting the engine bay sunday.
A big thing that people don't do with these swaps is get the tach working correctly. I used a 4th gen Celica tach motor and modded it into the Supra cluster. Also changed the boost to a volt meter. Everything should work now on this cluster.
4 cyl Celica Motor on the right
Just some...
I understand that they are different. it sits about 1-2" back, but is it too far without a custom shifter? Does it bolt in to the crossmemeber for the mount in the same area? or is that different too. driveshaft.. no big deal i planned on a custom one if needed.
Looking for a quick response.
Basically, a local and cheap W58 from a MK4 has popped up. Does the mount line up aswell as the shifter? its sits farther back, I know, but does it sit far enough back where it is not compatible with the pre cut hole?
let me know if it will work.
This isnt bad, I will see if I can move it forward to hide it.
No doubt. It will all be soldered. The last thing I need is a stupid crimp breaking and my car not starting lol.
What gauge wire are you using? Where are you mounting it?
I have seen a few MK3's with black engine bays, they look good I thought. A lot of old cars had black engine bays too...
My goal was to bring the rest of the car to be painted this color too, eventually. But for now, no.
This is a discussion, I want to know what people think :)
Well... Repainting my Supra's engine bay. I wanted to do black regardless, it will make everything under the hood "pop" along with hiding dirty and grease....
Regardless, I have been wanting to do something with purple pearl in the black paint.
Can anyone envision this and let me know what...
I am going for a massive wire tuck. I want to put the stock fuse box in my hatch. As far as I am concerned, it is as simple as extending each wire that connects to the fuse box 15ft or so and putting it in the hatch. Paired with the relocated battery, the main power source is now very small...
