What is the stock intertcooler size for a 90 Supra Turbo?

What I really want to see (and might actually test out) is pressure drop vs flow data as well as temperature data to show efficiency. It'd be really neat to see exactly how it performs. To my surprise, nearly no info is available on that stuff, even on new intercoolers. Which makes shopping for...

    Blitz DD BOV

As a very basic rule of thumb, you cannot really use an atmospheric BOV (aka, non-recirculated) on an AFM, or "flow-based" metering system. The 7M is an AFM engine in stock form. If you throw on an atmospheric BOV on a stock electronic 7M, chances are you will have problems. MAP systems, on...

    2 shot burst AR15

Interesting. With both this and the bump fire systems though, I feel like this is purely a range toy. Can you really control these binary triggers worth a damn to make them any kind of advantage?

Project Ookii Ao: Road to 500whp

Part 6! Super simple and basic. Life's been busy as we added a family member this spring so my progress is slowing more and more. Enjoy and subscribe! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eQt6lpMxnno

    Where did everyone go?

I think Facebook has really been the reason. SM traffic has really died since the redirect and spam stuff started a few years back. Whether it's google's fault or not, it's taken a toll on SM it seems. Now the MK3 section of SF has equal or more traffic, which is a shame. I still check SM first...

Bring back the Kaminari 3 piece spoiler???

It's not fully secured or installed. He states it was just placed onto the car and lightly held in place. I expect the front tips of the side wings to pull down a little more. That's also the only single car I've ever seen the new version on. It'd be good to see it in at least one other photo...

Bring back the Kaminari 3 piece spoiler???

Does anyone have an actual installed pic of the carbon wing yet? I don't think anyone has posted one, including kaminari. We have some pics placed on the car, but nothing really installed and bolted down. Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk

    Factory color question

I was able to buy the front upper trim and the side right trim. driver's side windshield trim is OOS and discontinued, apparently. Sad day... Off to watch Ebay now I guess. **EDIT: literally just found and bought the driver's side on Ebay. Should have all the windshield trim covered now. Now if...

Project Ookii Ao: Road to 500whp

PART 5: Road Trip I moved from AZ to CO. The car had to make the trip somehow. I could have trailered it or had a professional trailer it, but that's not cheap. I decided to let the car get itself across state lines. The trip was smooth and comfortable - just like a Supra should be. 900 miles...

    Factory color question

I hope these aren't rare! Maybe I should buy a set right now... eek. My 91 needs basically all the window trim replaced. Some parts are discontinued, but the windshield better not be! Let us know if you find them to be discontinued, Jeff!

I keep going back in time! Finally found a mkiii--meet crimson tide

Very, very cool Ken. SP looks like a great place to spend some time. Engines everywhere and performance cars lining the shop. As always your posts are inspiring and informative. I'm deciding on exhausts on my new mk3 project and am torn between the Tanabe Touring or going custom. Since time...

Properly swap a V160 6 speed transmission into A70 Supra.

This is a super cool thread. One of my favorites in recent years from the mk3 community. Cool parts, quality fabrication and a great looking end result. Nice work!

    Mk3 brake/suspension/drivetrain upgrades

For the ball joints, I recently used MOOG on my 90 and OEM on my 91. OEM is expensive, but would be my choice if I did it again. I wouldn't go much cheaper than MOOG, but I guess it depends on your purpose for the car. A super cheap new ball joint is still better than a worn out OEM. ;)

    Mk3 brake/suspension/drivetrain upgrades

Subframe bushings: might be a good upgrade, but start by replacing those worn out ball joints first. The factory suspension feels good when it's new. Get to a good starting point before going too nuts on poly bushings. Brakes: Forget drilled rotors. You may as well put on NOS stickers...

Matt's cylinder head rebuild - Finished

Quick comment on the shim removal: Agreed. Replacing some of the shims is a breeze, but others are very difficult with the cams in car. I had a special tool and even then it was terrible. Taking the cams out is far easier and faster.

Matt's cylinder head rebuild - Finished

Your second problem is related to what we call "hot start". The engine starting procedure is slightly different when it's already warm. Lots of 7M engines have a hard time starting warm in my experience. I improved my last 7M by replacing the Fuel pressure up VSV. Mine did not appear to be...

    3D Printed Supra Parts

Good idea, thanks. The clips I made for the cargo cover have been great. I'll jump on those once I get settled in my new house - another month or so.

Matt's cylinder head rebuild - Finished

Those cams look fantastic. I have used some cams in a 7m that looked absolutely god awful. I'm talking rust covered journals with a surface as smooth as sandpaper. I threw them in (old 7MGE I had) and checked them after a few thousand miles. They were pristine looking. I don't know what it...

Matt's cylinder head rebuild - Finished

Pulling the pan with the engine in the car is a huge PITA. I would buy a hoist off craigs well before I'd try to remove the crossmember or try to unbolt it in-situ. Getting a good seal on that pan is near impossible without free and clear access. I'd leave it alone or go buy a hoist.
