Very nice ride Doat.
As for mine, I replaced the thermostat in it because it's been running hot. I ordered one from Toyota and I got some new red antifreeze while I was at it. I replaced it, it still ran hot. I was certain I'd burped the radiator correctly only to find out my new electric fans...
Thanks Mike for all of the suggestions. They all seem to be great ideas. I will post up some pictures of the current setup so you can see what I'm talking about although it seems you have a good idea. I have a -12 hose from the cc to the turbo inlet. The other two hoses are -8 hoses.
I don't have the pcv any more. I had it and my car kept smoking. I replaced it with a small filter and it quit smoking. I bought a new catcan and installed it the way I see everyone else installing them and now it smokes again. I took one hose off, replace it with the filter and it quit smoking...
With my catch can installed properly, my car smokes. When I disconnect the hose that goes to the drivers side valve cover and install my filter, it doesn't smoke. With it installed properly, the turbo is sucking in oil and making it smoke. Any suggestions?
I bought a mishimoto catch can. It has...
I finished putting the radiator in and tightened all the hoses, filled it with coolant and water. It started right up. The iacv that Jason wired in works great. I don't have the fans wired in yet so I can't really drive it very far. I hope to get all of that done this weekend and then it's off...
A guy named Edwin on the ms3 messenger board recommended them. They're called Balanced Performance. They're suppose to be really good with the megasquirt. They've even wrote a few programs for it. That's all I know about them. I've talked with them on the phone and they said they could get it...
As Mr. Jetjock said, you can't tune your car without some sort of tuning device. You can go to the dyno and see what horsepower you're making, and see what afr's you're running, but you can't tune it. You can do a piggy back like a SAFCII or something like that and tune your fuel, but if you...
I forgot to mention that Jason also connected my new IACV that I bought for a mustang v6. He made a bracket so it would mount in the stock location and then hooked it into my ms3pro.
You wouldn't want to sell it with a known problem. If you can fix it like mentioned above, I'd try that. Seem like a very small problem to start talking about selling it. I will tell you that these cars do have a way of creating small problems from time to time, so you may want to sell it if...
Today, Jason (Cakene2) and I thought we would take a little time to hook up my electric fans and do away with my hydro set up. I personally thought it would be easy. Boy was I wrong.
I took out the radiator and hydro fan.........really easy.
I went to remove the water pump not knowing or...
seems like there is a hose that runs behind the head that is a pain in the ass to get too. I think I remember mine cracking years ago before I went jz. Some of the 7m guys will hopefully chime in with some helpful info. Good luck.
It's hard to believe it could be something mechanical that would shut the car down. Has to be in the tune somewhere that is shutting it down when it reaches a certain psi, or knock, or timing map, etc. I know you've checked the tune over and over again, but what mechanically could do what you're...
Yes, his car is red. His name is Jason. He's not a member on here, but he's a local guy that has helped me a lot in the past few months with my ms3pro and other things. He's a great guy and very very smart.........unlike yours truly.
Hey, if you're ever 2200 miles east of Fresno, hit me up and I'll take you for a ride in a boosted supra so you can see what it feels like. You'll never drive the 2 + 2 again.......unless you're going to get parts for your supra.........lol
Good luck with your project.
