LOL, just listen to Poodles. For a community that considers many of themselves to be cheapskates (I respectfully remove myself from that position)- you sure are willing to waste money. For double the price (if that) you can gather the parts for an OEM retro, and have way more than twice the...
If you're retrofitting a proper projector setup, buy cheap ebay housings with clear lenses so the light pattern isn't distorted. If you insist on putting the PnP HID's into H4 housings, (I strongly advise against it) then get the Hella E codes that Poodles linked to, and from that vendor too-...
My bet is that something is amiss in the charcoal canister area. The vents pull air from that area just below the windshield. The CC is very close to that area.
If you're looking to ditch the SSAC for something authentic, the SSAC is modeled heavily after the Greddy tubular manifold. I've got one- it's beautiful. :)
Welcome. :) You're not the only one with non-Toyota V8 power under the hood. There are a few others around, one of which is going to be insane when it's done!
My local dealer gives me prices that even Champion can't touch. When I went to order all my rear suspension stuff (including two brand new OEM uppers), Jeff told me he couldn't come close to the prices I gave him. :) He wasn't sure how I was getting them so cheap!
I <3 my parts guys. They...
Correct, you can run any rear ratio you want. Keep in mind that it may cause your speedometer to read incorrectly. Also, you only need to swap the front half of the driveshaft, the rear sections are all identical.
Keep spraying it w/ PB for a few days. When I did mine (lived in NE road salt all of it's life) I sprayed it w/ PB every day for a week. When I went to remove it, I got it off with little trouble.
Keep in mind, it's NOT the gas tank hardline side that spins, you should be holding that side...
Agreed, a good halogen setup trumps the crappy HID's any day. Even a good halogen setup can compare to quality (OEM) HID's when set up properly. (read: not in DOT housings. LOL)
My e-codes w/ good bulbs and a rewire in my Pickup (H4 like the Supra) are way brighter and better spread than...
Right on, dude. The 5wleds are excellent. I've had them in my Pickup for several years, and had them in the Supra for a while as well. Check the wire contacts on the ring bulb- they're easy to get pushed aside and not make contact.
I've got red in my dashes, the Supra dash takes to them VERY...
Grab yourself an '89-'94 Toyota pickup, do a solid axle swap, throw some gears and 35's on it w/ Marlin springs, dual ARB's, and a crawl box. You'll go anywhere.
Well, considering you haven't been a member long enough to sell it here, start high and let 'em talk you down. We don't generally allow "gauging interest" threads, so thread closed. :)
By the way, low mileage doesn't mean it's in good shape- post compression numbers, leak down test results...
I haven't spoken with him in quite a while, sadly. I did find my mapquest directions to his house in the glove box of my Pickup yesterday though. The date on the bottom was sometime in 2006! Yikes! (My car hasn't run in WAY too long! :()
Sounds good dude, let me know for sure! If it's warm...
