well im not gonna lie lol i hit the pub every night pretty much for a couple of beers. at weekends im out clubbin most nights so it tends to get a bit messy. but then im young and single so why not.
yep high tension leads, generally thats what there called in the uk. I know what your on about CRE when you mention the dizzy cap cover. though this car has never had one as long as ive owned it. perhaps ill try and source one
Guys i may be in the market for a new set of ht leads. I replaced mine with a standard set about a year ago but they seem to be chaffing on the underside of the bonnet (hood) and 2 have almost worn through. I guess they need to be slightly shorter

dude if you go down that route best of renewing the entire cooling system aswell ie new hoses all round and a new rad. also you might want to fit a new hg to the transplant motor to avoid future hg issues at the bare minimum
aye i always check the fluid with engine running at opp temp and selector in either park or neutral. guess ill just stick with dropping the sump plug every few weeks till all the nasty old fluid has been removed
if you tightened the screws up too tight you could have crushed the gasket. also like i said above id be doing a compression test as what you say about the coolant would be a cause for concern
hmmm i guess it could be a good idea to ask a friend if i can use his garage as he has a 4 post ramp. would be much easier to see play standing up under the car with plenty of light on it.
I have slight play in my left side front wheel (passenger side for me as im in the uk) the play is evident only if i hold the top and bottom part of the wheel. no side to side play at all. could this be the wheel bearing? or is it more likely to be the top ball joint? i couldnt see any movement...
