    cool cheers guys, machine shop ended up taking it apart, measured everything up and everything was fine, faced the block, polished crank etc. for $200 then getting new rings and bearings etc for $200, but they said around $250 to put it back together so im gonna have a good crack myself and see...

    wow thanks everyone for the replys, i might ask the machinest shop how much it will be for them to take apart the block and re assemble first, i have it down to basically just the block with bottom timing belt cover, crank pully etc on it, but i have been using the tsrm and it has a special tool...

    hey guys i am currently getting the block ready to be decked but i dont have the tools to get the crank pully off so i cant go any further, i was told it has to be a bare block to machine it but i dont see why it cant be done with pistons etc in there? can it be done without fully stripping it...
