the JDM 1JZ front bumper lip has two holes, one each below the foglamp location. From what I've heard the two duct holes suppose to aid in cooling and ventilates the front brakes. The material of the lip is the same as US spec OEM rubber.
I'll probably be attending the friday dyno, Sat. show'nshine, and maybe sunday drag. I sure hope there will be a lot more mk3s that show up to represent!!!
See yall there!
I believe the other hose for the PS should be approx. 3/8 " . Please double check yourself to be sure. Use your open end wrench to approximate the nipple size.
The PS reservoir hose size is 5/8". If you're talking about AN size it would be -11 AN. The PCV ports you're talking about are the twin nipples on the valve covers right? I believe they are 1/2", -9AN should be able to fit. HTH! Happy plumbing$$$$$:icon_lol:
turbonator82: try ImportPerformanceParts.net . They have piston & rods combo for pretty decent price compared to other venders. I personally am getting JE pistons & Eagle H-Beam rods combo. HTH!
phoenix6: assuming you will replace the piston rings and your connecting rod. For break-in I suggest either exxon superflow 10W30 (Reg Reimer recommended this oil) or OEM Toyota 10W30 (I believe they're regular Mobil 10W30) After break-in I recommend either Mobil 1 or Castrol Syntec.
P.S. I...
NashMan I feel you bro. I've been on the same situation before. What I would recommend is to take a break from fixing it. Indulge yourself into something you like to do. When you feel better and in a better mood start tweaking on it again. Don't ever give up! If something breaks that is another...
You can try vatozone , Oh'Really, or pepgirls for some headlight restoration kit made by Permatex I think, cost about 12 bucks. It contains 4 1000~2500 grit sandpapers and a bottle of polish with cloth. I've tried it on my fog lights and they worked pretty well! HTH.:icon_razz
Turbonetics 60-1, T4 P-trim with Supra turbine elbow housing.(for now).
May switch to different turbine housing and external WG in the future.
Cost me an arm & a leg, 1K to be exact. I like the warranty on the Turbonetics turbo, 1 year and no questions asked. Like the polished comp. housing...
bigaaron: nice job on the coil pack relocation.
I've seen someone else relocate the coil packs on the firewall next to where the EGR plate on the head. Defintelly clean up the engine bay. I think if you could get a set of customized NGK plug wires to the proper length it will be nice...
If you get rid of your charcoal canister then you won't need the BVSV on the thermostat housing. And the OEM BVSV spot is the perfect place to install the Autometer water temp. sender. I have mine installed there. Sorry no pics.
I don't have pics but I mounted my HKS EVC EZ & HKS S-AFR at the center console using 3M double sided tape. It gives me the peace of mind of hiding the unit from broad day light when I'm not in the car... did the same thing with my zeitronics zt-2 unit in the glove box.:icon_bigg
Here's my setup for my Turbonetics 60-1. From turbo oil inlet: 1/8 NPT male to -4 male elbow, -4 90 degree auto-fit hose end from earl's, size -4 ss braided hose, -4 straight auto-fit hose end, -6 female to -4 male reducer, and then -6 male to 12MMx1.25 earl's adapter to the block.
