Thx cjsupra90 that was exactly what i tried to explain , i bought an engine that was on a US car and swap it in my Canadian car and i have a Type A guage and US cars use Type B (i think) . The engine runs fine... good pressure when cold as soon as the engine is at normal temp the pressure...

I know there alot of post about this ... but would anyone know if a Type A guage would read correct numbers on a Type B sender?

Yeah well the labour is only to remove and put back the engine. The machine shop takes care of the rebuild and thats the 3k.

Just got back from there right now and it is in bad shape .... :cry: . So now its a full engine rebuild (3000$) ... im at 5500$ total labour taxes and parts .... I just dont know anymore.... does that price seem fair to you guys ?

Im currently having my top engine rebuild, Hks MHG , ARP studs , new timming belt and water pump and full engine regrind gasket kit. I took the full head port and polish is it worth it? (750$) Thx in advance. Sylvain
