thats what i was figuring. Is there a harness that fits right in without alot of splicing?
The only problem i saw was that the wire count and colors are completly different.
I went through to see if i was gettin gpower to the ecu or anthing for that matter. And i am not. THe main power supply on the harness and on the body are different. So i looked up the wires and wire the two connections togetther using red butt connectors and the original connector off the...
okay ill try that today in a little. The wiring harness is missing connectors by the collant spout and an extra one by the TB.
Ill get pics too.
all the plugs are grey. one white.
There is a big on that i remember that is very close to the one on the harness but just barely...
I am doing a NA-T swap it has a Non turbo motor rebuilt with turbo electronics.
Its a 1989 NA Auto, Converted to a 1990 ecu/ wiring harness. Tranny is a w58.
I got everything in the car is all put together and i go to fire it up and it isnt getting fuel... Well i dont hear the fuel pump...
You have a 5.3 right? I am looking to swap in the LM7 peferably the lm4 because it is aluminum but i think it is going to be harder to find. But i was just wondering it you had the aluminim or cast iron block and if it was really that big of a change in weight and or handling? Also if you had...
any updates i have beening dreaming of this build ever since my motor got rod knock the first time. I have tried to think of a cheaper alternative to get this kind of power but i have finally relized that a GM motor is the only way to go. My buddy and me are both planning on getting 5.3 LM7s...
Like you guys already know the motoy is a LM7 not a LS1 or even LSX. LSX is very confusing to chevy guys that alrealf know that there is a aftermaket block out there called the LSX do to the fact the you can put any LS head with any displacment combination and have a very strong block to hold...
Well i have heard soo many other people doing the 5.3 swap and it is a cast iron block but everthing is interchangable just like the ls1, ls2, ls6. It isn't consider a LS motor but i will still have to go through the same crap as anyone else that has tried it.
The tranny doesn't come stock...
I found a great deal on a LS series 5.3L V8, and a six speed. Has anyone ever tried or thought about the swap?
Do you know anything about Motor mounts, Cross member, Exhaust, AC, Tranny mounts, driveshaft, wiring, Power steering.
If you do LMK.

I know that i need lots of other components to make the motor realible. I really don't know a lot about supras i bought the car a couple years ago as a DD. i am more into V8s but smaller motors are soo much more effiecent in their power. But the only way to get that power is forced induction...
