I am doing a NA-T swap it has a Non turbo motor rebuilt with turbo electronics.

Its a 1989 NA Auto, Converted to a 1990 ecu/ wiring harness. Tranny is a w58.
I got everything in the car is all put together and i go to fire it up and it isnt getting fuel... Well i dont hear the fuel pump and i check the pass side fuel relay and it doesnt have power. fuses are good. Did i miss somthing? Could the Ecu be bad?

There are also some wires under the dash that dont plug into the harness. Also some be the fuse box. I have read through the manuals and all of supra mania and i havnt found anything to help.

Also what is the torque spec on ARP head bolts not studs?

And how do i line the CPS to TDC or do i need to?

Thanks in advance.

Try jumping +B and FP in the diagnostic block. See if you get fuel. Did you do any custom wiring for the '90 wiring/ecu swap? ECU's don't usually go bad on these cars unless you short something out.

Post up some pictures of the connectors that are without homes. I'm going to guess that your '89 has gray plugs, but is 87-88 style pin connectors. Just a guess though, until we see what's going on exactly.

As for the CPS, see here: http://www.supramania.com/forums/showpost.php?p=470171&postcount=1

okay ill try that today in a little. The wiring harness is missing connectors by the collant spout and an extra one by the TB.

Ill get pics too.

all the plugs are grey. one white.

There is a big on that i remember that is very close to the one on the harness but just barely different it is square with around 8 wires.

I went through to see if i was gettin gpower to the ecu or anthing for that matter. And i am not. THe main power supply on the harness and on the body are different. So i looked up the wires and wire the two connections togetther using red butt connectors and the original connector off the original harness.

still no power to the Ecu but there is power to the B+ terminal on the diagnostic port. I then tried to jump the B+ and Fp to get the pump to come on and it didnt do anything. no fuel.

So i looked at thewiring again and i think the Big ass plug with 16 wires (not 8) needs to be hooked up... duh. although the plugsare different form the harness and dash and the wire look nothing alike there are way more wires on The turbo harness.

I was also told that the harness and ecu are from a 89 turbo auto. but i am still a little skeptical.

here are the pics of connectors.

i'm just about done with the same exact swap. you will have to splice in some of the plugs from your old harness to the new turbo harness. there it one with a red with black strip wire and a orange and black striped wire if IRC that you will have to splice in with your new turbo harness. i never did get the problem with my fuel pump fixed so i ran a new 12 volt power source with a relay and fuse and it now runs. i think the only connector under the dash that i don't have connected now is the white connector. can see your pics here at work so i will check it out when i get home.

thats what i was figuring. Is there a harness that fits right in without alot of splicing?

The only problem i saw was that the wire count and colors are completly different.

i'm sure there is. but you can make the one you have work. all the wires are color coded and can be spliced together. just take your time and make sure you connect the right ones together. i had some that the wire did not have a place on my original plug so i either left it off or tried to find out what the wire controled. all in all my car runs now. i have a hand full of stray wires that i'm not to worried about right now but o will look in to it closer once i have it all back together and see if i notice anything that is not working or working properly

all the wires are color coded. all i did was find what plug i neededoff my original harness and the plug that had the same colored wires and connected them from there. i had the harness out the car and at the kitchen table where i had plenty of room to lay them out and cut what i needed and have good lighting. you can also check the TSRM for the wiring diagram.

Looks like you've got the wrong harness in there. Find one from early '89 and you should be good to go. It looks like your car is wired like the 87-88 cars, but has gray plugs instead of yellow.
