Well,

I know alot of you know I went 1jz about 2 years ago, I had the car running all last year but this summer was a disaster with me going away throwing a shim and all the cam work ect. Anyways, I ditched the 1jz due to me not being happy with the displacement loss and not spooling my turbos fast enough. So I've moved to a 2jz.

Here's some pictures of the progress...

As for a list of the parts added.. Well lets just say i don't want to tally up the cost.

Aem
AEM ugeo w/b
HKS hyper maxes
4" exhaust custom 304 SS
4" intake
3" IC piping
HKS Race type 2
Leatherseats.com seats
2jz
ITS 67DDB turbo
ceramic coated chinese manifold same as rudy's
Billet MTR fuel 2 pump hanger
-8 fuel lines/stock return
new 87 motor mounts
new window moulding trim all around (Fing expensive form toyota)
Repainted car in black mica
18" Enkei RZ5's
95 Levin streeting wheel
Rebulit trans
Fermiac clutch
New windshield (broke the old one putting in the new trim :/)
Thinking about a KAZZ diff and solid drive shaft.

Well here are some pics.
**EDIT** damn you IJ :)
edit pits are already posted below

Quite a few more pictures but I can't seem to find them right now. Also havn't touched the car in 2 months, i'm in the UK till end of Feb... So right around spring time I'll be putting it all back together to finish her off.

Looking good Eric, I see you've been very busy with your car. New paint and all, damn bro, you are one sick son of a bitch :). You'll see me at the next TO Meet, no worries.

Question: Why not the 1.5JZ? It brings your torque back that the 1JZ lacks.

Well, I wasn't planning to keep the twin k26's I think that one single turbo is more efficent then them turbos because of the new style turbos spooling so fast and I'm betting I'll prove my theory when I get her going. Really, I already know the performance I should get due to all the results on the net however, not until you feel it for your self do you really know if you like the powerband or not... It wasn't the lack of torque in the 1jz, it was the lack of spool, mainly because of the turbo setup. You see it all stems form way back with the 7m. I though to my self this engine would be great if it could rev... Then after I blew that one I though shit I'll get a 1jz, it can rev and it will do exactly waht I want it to do vs the 7m... With that twin setup I had WRONG... Full boost round 5000-5500 with cams. So I had a few options.... More revs, (first gear sucked ass) 9k or more displacement... Soooo.. I got the AEM never really got it hooked up to the 1jz, just toyed with it. Then spit a shim, so the head on my 1jz was a little fuxored. So, at that point i said to hell with it... 2jz + aem + DDB 67 turbo = probably what i'm looking for rev to 8k, and power at 4k. Anyways, hopefully i'll see you at the TO meet this yera manny! I hope to make the CHI town and a few other meets this year as well!!
BTW haha you are the crazy one you have spent the loot before me ;)!

Damn I remember the days when there was 2-3 single cars and most where on stock turbos.

Next big meet is always in augest, we have mini meets every month ;)

I guess what i'm looking for on this set up is a car that can do everything GOOD meaning. I'm not the fastest autox car, not the fastest dragster, ect..
BUT it will be good at all of them and be very fun for the street as that's where this car is going to spend 90% of it's time.

I think the problem most people don't realize is when they go big or go home, they end up going home, because the car is just not fun anymore.

carbonetic clutch - I know its expensive but I think a good clutch is one of the most important things you cant skimp on.

If a turbo, IC, pipes, etc fail you can just change them out and the chance of f'ing up your motor is minimal. A bad clutch can seriously damage your motor....

Im glad I spent the money on a multi plate.

seems you have the same outlook many of the Japanese tuners are doing and we're catching up...

the whole package is far better than building a drag car, or a gutted track car, or the VIP look...

GL with it, if I didn't have tons of money dumped into the 7M I may have gone 2J as well...

web page? how much? I was hoping that if this one wares out faster then expected i'd just go with the original RPS stuff... I'm pretty close to calling it quits with the R154.. I'm ready to do a Tremic or something similar

6 spd maybe but it's so tough finding proper diff and all that crap.

http://www.carbonetic.net/ is the manufacturers website.

Looking over it during the install it appears to be a quality made product. I havent put any power down through my triple plate yet but it is rated to 1300 ft/lbs of torque.

A twin plate is about 1k less than an RPS twin plate. Nice product.

It also comes with the push/pull converter and a new slave cylinder and line.

Definately better than going OS giken which is what I was considering earlier.
