Disclaimer:
I'm 16, and grew up playing video games, starting with the NES. I have every mainstream system made up to date, and a few non mainstream ones (anyone ever played teh NEC TurboGrafx 16? Or the Atari Jaguar). So, that being said, you'll notice a lot of my favs are older ones, cuz you just can't beat the gameplay. Too many games recently rely on graphics alone and have lame-ass story lines. And yes, I have played the oldschool ones recently so I know I'm not just glorifying the good old days. Oh, and 15 just isn't enough! :)...

Haha..16 year old, old school gamer huh? ;)

The Atari Jaguar was very much mainstream back in the day...that damn 26 (or something like that) button controller is what killed it, and it's price tag.

The turbografx... not so much mainstream, but it sucked..so that's understandable.

The 3DO was a damn cool machine! I remember Best Buy had a huge blowout sale on them and I was gonna pick one up, but forgot about it for like a week...went back there and they were all gone.

The Neo Geo was also a very badass system...but at $500+ consistent price, that thing could go be badass somewhere else, haha

There was another mainstream one...but I can't for the life of me remember what it waas

Hahaha, no, I won't pretend to be (I never claimed it, I said I played oldschool games) NES is pretty oldschool, I'd say. But I grew up playing them, they flipping rocked!

Really, the Jag was mainstream?? I always get blank stares from that one. And yeah, anyone know wtf the numeric keypad in the middle of it was for? I never did use much if it, seems like they could of found a more user friendly design.

The TurboGrafx had some odd games, they were mostly a bit quirky, but I really liked them.

Never had the 3DO or the NeoGeo.

Saweeeeeeeet! hehe... you've almost made my day. If you find it (and sell it :naughty: hehe) you will COMPLETELY make it...and you will get a +1, hah :biglaugh:

Oh yeah, and the other system was the Philips CD-i ...I still think there was another one, but I remember this bad boy. It housed the only Zelda games to not be on a Nintendo system...and BOY were they horrible. Played all of about 2 seconds of "The Wand of Gamelon" at a friend's house and never touched it or the system again
