Ian and I were discussing why the AL aren't being guaranteed anymore if they are sold through a third party (any company other than Greg's). He made them, you think he would warrant them no matter who is selling them brand new right?

The reason I made the light weight arms were the di-hard whom need them be light weight. The only ones that broke in the aluminum that I saw were caused by squeeze them together too much. This was on the u shape end and not the end that is up in the frame. It seemed that on a few cars the thickness of the mounting support was thinner, and /or the end of the traction arm was spread too much. So when the bolt was tighten down it would crack the arm and then would later break apart.
If the washers supplied were put between the inside of the arm to take up space that would have fixed it.
In the end, I did not want to put out a product that might fail so I stopped selling them. I believe there were 3 arms that broke and I offered a replacement with the same or could get steel if they wanted to.
The ones on e -bay are all good but they need to be installed the correct way and yes, I am not selling any more of the aluminum.
Thanks for reading this.

Greg, thanks for posting up, its nice to meet the man behind this... Do you own LIPP? Are you responsible for all the parts that come out of LIPP? Great designs!!!

I come from a land down under
Greg is Lipp ;)

That's why I couldn't understand the stance on SS as having e-mailed back and forth with Greg way back when Jeff owned SS Greg came across as very customer satisfaction oriented!

Yes,
I am Lipp ( Liberty International Performance Products) I produce parts for the Toyota Mark III, and the MR2, 2nd gen., Mitsubishi EVO, 3000 VR4 and the Mitsubishi 4G63 engine, I will be brining out a new performance turbo replacement for the Subaru and the MR2 that will bolt on as a direct factory replacement for a distributor.

Thanks for all of your support

I have been very slow on listing what I make and sell. I do have a web site for the Lipp parts but have not open yet. The mitch parts I sell the most of is the transfer housing for the 5 speed replacement made out of 17-4 stainless steel. I also have the mid-section but it is not listed yet.I wholesale them, I don't get much call for them on a Toyota site. In all, Lipp makes about 35 to 40 different products.

Sorry, I am not on the post so back to it.

The alum arms that sell on E-bay are of good quality. I will not sell them any more because I give a warranty when sold and they may break. I don't want to be replacing them when you can buy a SS set that will not break.

I do have a few left in stock for replacement if the ones that were sold from SupraSport or from its wholesale companies. I am not giving free replacement for the ones sold on E-bay.

I have heard that poly bushings can squeak. Would this be true in this application as well? I am about to buy some LIPP traction arms but I can't deciede on which bushings. I like the idea of the stiffer poly but I won't tolerate any squeaking.

ive had 0 squeek as well and i used the supplied grease (or it was the grease from the ST swaybar kit, either way poly bushing all around and no squeeks :) and its been almost 2 years )
