Getting the opportunity to meet the people that helped your parents out in times of needs.
For example: Tonight, I just met the couple that helped sponsor my mom and her family to bring them over from Vietnam so that they can better their lives here in America.

My mom's side of the family hasn't seen them since they left North Carolina a little over 30 years ago. They were in town this weekend for my cousin's wedding and because of that, they were able to get together again to talk and catch up. If it wasn't for them, we wouldn't be here today, and for that, I am truly grateful for the help they gave to my family. After meeting them tonight, I made a promise to myself that I will not let this opportunity go to waste, cuz if it wasn't for them, we'd probably still be back in Vietnam mooching offa family members here in the states.
Has anyone else gotten the opportunity like this to meet the people that helped their families start new?
