The A/C worked in my Supra for all of about 2 months after recharging it. It was ice cold. I still have yet to find the leak.

In my case it is usually the evaporator that is the culprit that the leaks come from. I wish there was a better after market one to put in it's place. I use my a/c a lot and so over the years I have had to do many repairs on it. After the dreaded BHG the a/c is the biggest trouble maker imo.

It hit 102-103 earlier this summer here in Oregon.

A/C works great in our Supra, though there seems to be too much difference between the Low and Medium speeds. Low is like it isn't on at all and Medium is too cold usually...

replace the blower resistor. it's one screw to remove down near the firewall on the passenger side. one screw and it pops right out, disconnect the wire clip, pop a new one in, screw it down, re-connect wire and enjoy 3 fan speeds again. ;) costs about $20 or so.

also, i have no A/C. i live in New York (not in the city, i live upstate about 45min south of albany) it gets pretty hot here in the summer. the ONLY think that is left of the A/C system in my car is the button on the climate control. everything else is stripped out, capped off and boxed up. if i ever feel the urge to have A/C again, i'll simply put it back in. ;) for now, i'm young, able, and don't mind the heat so much...

Bah - you guys think you are insane running without ac? Try this:

Today in California (7/09/06) it was like 107 degrees. I was on a roadtrip to temecula to pickup some 5 spokes for my supra - a 630 mile roundtrip from fresno to temecula in 107 degree heat.

And I have AC. And it works. And I don't use it.

Thats ok, it hit 110 on saturday (jul 1st) its going to be in the 100's every day of the week.

Arizona doesn't have different seasons, we just have months where its cooler than the previous month.
And thats just to tease you because 9 months out of the year its hot as hell!
No biggie

Temecula eh? I used to live in Lake Elsinore back in the day. (Pretty sure you drove through this lovely little town, especially if you were comin from the north). I remember when Temecula was just a Best Buy a Home Depot and a Toys 'R Us
