Honestly, it makes little sense for a business (at least here in the US) to hang onto inventory any longer than necessary. You get taxed on it, every year, just for having it. Not to drag this into a politics debate, but it's actually smarter in the long run to just sell these sorts of things for what you can get for them.Canuckrz;1846736 said:The rationality behind the pricing is some people who have dick loads of money and want brand new parts will pay that amount, and since stuff like this is obviously no longer produced jacking the price up helps ensure that they still have them kicking around for those who really want them. It's lame for the majority of us, but if stuff like this was actually a reasonable price, next to nothing would be available for our cars anymore as the remaining stock would be decimated. I don't necessarily agree with all of the pricing but there is some reasoning behind the madness.
I will vouch for Shine, they make really nice stuff. Got a room full of their parts:ryansmith;1846786 said:Kind of makes me want a lip that much more now I know of the cost. Maybe that Shine Auto website would be better for me...
