Yet another rotary.... 1983 Mazda RX-7 GSL

Well, I was finally able to get rid of my tool box, but instead of getting any money for it, the best offer I got was a trade for a money pit! A 1983 Mazda RX-7 GSL with 119,000 original miles, where strangely enough, everything electronic works! It had been sitting for awhile, just like the FC I picked up last year, so it definitely needs to be driven. Also, a can of Seafoam probably couldn't hurt, either. Anyway, after I picked it up today, I decided to wash it. After alot of scrubbing and 3 coats of wax, here's what it looks like!

Also, in true RX-7 fashion, after I cleaned the thing up, I started to drive home, and the alternator stopped working... Lol. Oh well. I wish it could have been a Supra, but this isn't too bad, either!

Yeah, the GC8 in the background is my friend Stephanie's car..... STI swapped, puts down about 270 to the wheels..... Insanely fun to drive, and very clean!

Just fix things as they break, then sometime soon change out the suspension and use it for autocross! Other than that, I don't have a whole lot planned for it.

That would be alot of fun, actually..... The part about me not really messing with it only applies as long as the 12A that's in it now keeps running. I could maybe see an engine swap down the road!

Boost it? remember rotaries have one thing to follow.... Boost in Apex out very clean i had an 85 gsl-se teal it was garaged for 20 years cuz the guy was in prision i miss that thing alot so light such a good slider.

I'm thinking just suspension work, really..... My friends haven't had such good luck with their boosted RX-7's, lol. The alternator has seemingly fixed itself, so I went on a drive with it today, and it drives phenomenally! It does very well in the corners, just like my 87 GXL. Except it's way more comfortable than the 87 GXL, lol.
