bhgs are for pussy i straight up run mine hardcore, i run robitussin in my radiator. Keeps it from getting sick..
There was a thread a few days ago about someone that had the same problems with the light staying on. I think he added some foam to his float and it fixed his problems.
what part of the water pump did he put foam in??????? I don't think we are tottally on the same page......., and I would like to be. I dig your vibe joel even thought you are a moderator. I know Ij told you about me. I'm just trying to be cool.

Somehow teh museum/birdcage is related to the power steering pump, then the alternator, but now it's better, but you might need a water pump?

Sorry for the confusion guys..., I was referring to Kspec post above mine when I was talking about the foam for the birdcage..

This thread is messed up. It's all my fault, I was high when I started this obviously I am on crack. I can't believe we bought this car and I love this car. Hence the grand I am about to put into it.
pff.... I must be crazy in love with my supra... dropped 4k into it within a month.... it's still completely stock... just restoring it is expensive.
the float in the resivoir bottle might be stuck,faulty or just not working right. there might bea load of crap in there that you will have to clean out that was left by the previous owner.
if you continuously lose water,you obviously have a leak somewhere,if you have a bad water pump,it will start coming out of the "weep hole" on the bottom of the water pump.
but you replaced the bhg,right?

AWW! thats what that light is. mines been on like 6 months after my HG fix. even though i got no temp rise or leaks how else would you know if your WP is going bad? clicking,knocking, fluctuating idle?
I also blew the right angle hose, I think it was the water pump bypass? You would know if it was that though, you would be spewing anti-freeze like a mofo. Scared the piss outa me when I was driving and saw steam and shat pouring out from under the hood.
smoke bellowing from under the hood is just the supra's tactfull way of asking you to pull over. It doesn't even bother me anymore.
