WTH Forest Green 87 MA70L ???

I don't even know. Paint code is 204. But that's a black paint code. Paint looks old as hell (as old as the car) and not a single spot on the car isn't painted forest green (that i've seen so far). It's got tripple pinstriping... one tan, 2 brown. Tan leather interior. No ABS, targa, turbo, r154. The car needs to be re-painted, and I want to keep the color. Can anyone help me out?

It's not a factory color. If the car is a 204, it came from the factory Black Metallic.



MKIV's were the only Supras to ever come in green. They came in two green colors:


Deep Jewel Green Pearl (6P3)


Imperial Jade Mica (6Q7)

I thought there was a forest green in japan. Is it possible it was a custom order? I know the code doesn't exist for North America.

Either way it'll stay forest green... just hoping I could get a factory paint.

BTW it's painted forest green under the carpet... IDK I guess it's possible that it's custom painted... but it looks like if that's the case... the paint is still as old as the car.

This has had me scratchin my head for a while. Looks like I'll be doing that some more. I want to say it looks like the deep jewel green.

I stand corrected. My knowledge tends to be limited to USDM due to my hatred for the JDM Tyte Yo! culture....

IJM and Quicksilver are the two rarest MKIV colors (here in the U.S.).

Cant really tell you if its a rare color to be honest i havent seen many Green Mica Mk3s as far as what i see on the forums. Its a beautiful colour though

I've seen a few Aus delivered cars in that colour over here, from around the late 80's/early 90's. Notably Lexuses and Cressidas, but still a rare colour.

Motor Trend, or maybe C&D/R&T ran a photo of the green Supra with the dark wheels and two exahust pipes, ala 5.0 Mustang. They mentioned 280hp TT, and we don't have that option. I don't recall any mention of "JZ" at all. It was one of the back extra pages like they do. As I mentioned in the past, I have seen the dual exhaust photo. It might not have been produced in Toyota city that way, but the picture was taken that way.

I've been tossing about the idea of painting my car 6L9, it's the color that the car my engine came from. Looks nice on a Mk3, and was definitely a "90's" color... Not sure just yet though.

It's definitely a really nice color in person. Looking at the pics of green MKIII's, the color works well on them.

I've seen a us dark green mk3 like that before. Had tan interior as well.

interesting. I've heard of them being spotted. and i swear it looks like the color on that 2.5ttr.... the color combo is excellent IMO (green/tan/brown)

so the code should be 6L9... interesting. (not saying it wasn't re-painted) I just don't know what to make of it.

If/when I repaint I'm planning on black, dark grey or green metallic/mica.

IMO, the best color for the mk3; Dark Green Mica is beautiful. My car will be due for a repaint in about a year or two (most likely), and that is what I'll be going for. I remember seeing it in photos right after buying my car, and so it was decided.

6L9 also looks a lot like black when it's dark outside.
