WTF is wrong with this dyno?

Well, my car is tuned, fast as hell and runs flawlessly.

I made 284 hp @ 13 psi with my 62-1 turbo, SS autocrap IC, 550 injectors, and lex afm w/eman blue.


I made 280.5 ft/lbs of torque.

ok, so I've got way to many mods for that kind of hp. Here is the catch. We ran the car with a g-tech pro last night. 12.35 three times in a row. Gtech shows 398 hp using the actual wieght of my car for calculation(weight with driver only. A corvette z06 (03? ) made 266 hp on the same dyno only 1 hour before... You know, the vette with the badge on the side that states 405 hp
This is a dyno dynamics dyno, with no correction factor...

Sound funny to anyone?

Sounds like a funny dyno to me. Yeah, lets see your 1/4 time, that will help determine this better. Id get my money back for the dyno.

That dyno is jacked up the result of the vette should show that by itself, That vette prolly dont make 405, but it damn sure makes 350 or more, GET YOUR MONEY Back and go to a real shop and get a real dyno, obviosuly these assbags don't know how to dyno a car.

Well, gm states that crank hp on that model is 405 and this vette had headers, pulley's and intake...

The car is damn fast, and spins 265/40/17's easily through second on boost

You are no alone i got the same set up and i got 284 hp..thats nothing should of left the stock turbo on and saved a lot of money

well, I hit 215 on a 57 trim @ 19 psi on the same dyno, and the car ran 12.90's.

your numbers are off, as are LEGNA's. i hit 289rwhp/ 295ft lbs tq. at 15 psi on the stock turbo, which has shaft play and chipped impeller blades...

on a mustang dyno.

Yeah Gix that dyno is fubar.

On my T-66 with a stock IC, I made 315hp/305tq on a mustang dyno.

I have the same engine mods as you......

well, I won't bitch too much, the guy did make my car make 114 more hp in about 45 minutes..... well worth the $150 for that session, even if the numbers are low. I still know the car makes power, and I can compare to others on that dyno.

I made more power than a 405 hp corvette z06.... According to that calculator, It should be around 389 flywheel hp... or 344 on a dynojet.

Oh, and if this tells you guys anything, I was making enough power that my injectors were @ 78% duty cycle @ peak power. (550 RC's) running a 12.5 A/F ratio.

umm i have to say that it is fine remmber teh certion was not factored in

so what amkes close to 400 hp so just ask them to give you the factor for the life of me i cna nto remmber i think it 7% some thing

yep, 93 octane.

Knock reading were normal, and egt's never went over 800 C

Ya, that dyno seems a little fubarred. Reminds me of a local dyno day, where an eclipse pushing 28 pounds of boost made 67HP. They did some tuning, and made an even 100HP on the second run. Now that's a Mustang dyno coming in a bit low! They say it has been recalibrated and is now doing well. I will go finally get some low Mustang numbers myself soon. It's all I have local.
