The crash was the third major accident in four days on the busy north-south highway, and the second fatal one.

Long story short, its retards like this (watched F&F too many times) that can't think beyond their own two feet that ruin it for everyone. When it becomes a general hazard for the populace, action by local gov't is taken (see SoCal for instance). Its not like repeat offenders don't know that its illegal or more importantly, completely unsafe - they just have blatant disregard for anyone/thing beyond themselves.

The sad thing is, because of the actions of a few knuckle heads, everyone will have to pay the price (if it goes through). Some people would argue that its government overstepping its boundaries. If these fucktards would at least make a half-assed attempt to show a little respect for these boundaries, then things wouldn't have gone this far.

The true cost of a street racing ticket is way more than a trip to the local drags. Moral of the story, don't be retarded.
