Yeah it sucks, but you gotta remember you are getting the correct parts that are direct Toyota factory pieces.

"couldn't even order it anymore" means they are too damn lazy to source the item ;).

Man...you got that right!

I'm in California and my local dealership who will remain nameless (Thousand Oaks Toyota) wacks me for full boat on everything. These guys won't even try to "source" a hard to find or not readily available part. They're standard reply is something like "don't know what to tell ya, it's just not available", or "you should getta Scion, they make lots of accessories for them". And the love to tell me "well, it's an old car"...like I can't do simple arithmetic.

Worse yet, at least half of the time they end up ordering the wrong part (despite the fact I provided them with the correct part #) and I have to wait around for their call when it finally comes in, usually late.

I use a different (farther away) dealership now but they're not great either.

Maybe I'll try Champion or Elmhurst, unless someone from Socal knows of a good local dealer.

As far as the price quote of the moldings, on the order pictured on this thread, I'm not at all surprised, in fact, I thought it might be more dough.

Rubber's not cheap...have you bought tires recently?
