NADA clean retail on my 97,000 mile 92 is $5675. It gives an $850 mileage upgrade in that.

On Edmunds, I get a $3 upgrade for my car being Red!

And, a search of 92's for sale at "any distance", there are currently no 92's for sale in the country by dealer or individual. Search was done by Edmunds/Autotrader

Not to mention that anything over 20 years isn't in their database as they're a "collector's" car and the value will follow that. Seeing as how the 92 is the rarest of MKIII's the value should be higher, but it isn't.

I thought that might be why, but those values are shit considering you can't buy a 92 in the condition his was in for that price, period.

Have to look at for-sale ads and find true market value, the rest is speculation based on milage, price, and depreciation it seems.

They really dont care if its a 92 though, its 1 year newer then a 91 and 2 years newer then a 90 in their eyes. You might be able to fight with the value on the 92 because they're the only ones with the black leather (if you have it of course).

Why look on online pricing anyways? Unless trying to get a loan or trying to fight with an insurance company over the value of the car. The pricing is never accurate, though I'm surprised the value is close on my mkiv (compared to a few years ago when they listed them like 7k).

Wow I checked Edmunds, KBB, and Nada.. seems like they think mine with 66k miles on it is worth about 5k. For that kinda money...I think I'll keep it. I know its worth way more to the right person.

George wrecked his '89, not his '92. I don't know why he's checking on pricing unless it's just for comparrison or just so he knows what its book value is. I know he's been negotiating with the insurance company for a while over the value of his '89. Just like most insurance companies, they're trying to stick it to him with no lube.

When my 89 accord got toatlled in 97. this is the same bullshit they tried to hit us with. We went out and got every newspaper with in 100 miles of our house and every internet auto sale site for fair market value. we ended up with 5000 grand.

The 1992 is not really worth more in my opinion.
There was only a couple minor variables, Exterior/Interior colors speaker pods sun roof.

The only way your car would be rare as a supra for a 1992 is if it came with options that were only released for that years such as shadow grey interior large speaker pods sub woofer sun roof, then it would be worth the most.

Just like all the other supras though it had a lot of the same flaws head gasket blows still.
R154 thrust washer issues the exception being the JZA70 R
Its the heaviest supra of all the years with the 1986.5 being the lightest.
I wouldnt pick a supra based on year being its value itself, but condition & actual rarity such as TURBO A/GROUP A JZA70 [R] would be the supras to go for!.
