Ok im doing a 1jz swaP into my 91 i was told i could use the same motor mounts but ive been f@#$ing with it since 1pm its now
2:40pm they wont go in .was i told wrong am i an idiot ?



Please help me !!!!!!!!!!!!

you can use the same motor mounts.

however, if you have a Soarer 1JZ, you need Supra Motor Mount Brackets.

Available through BIC Performance.

if the 1j is out of a supra,then yes.original mount's from your car,no.the only thing you can use off your 91 is the round rubber part.

Motor mount is made of two parts, the Engine bracket and the isolators.
The engine bracket has to be the one from a jza70 - 1JZ then the 91 isolators ( the round rubber ) will bolt up to it and then they all bolt up to the frame.

89+ round mounts suck though, so use mk4 mounts. they bolt right up to jza70 brackets and the chassis

i believe those are supra brackets, but why do you have one round and one square mount??

the one on the left is a 89+ jz mount the one on the right from the looks of it is a pre89 supra mount...

Thanks for the picture. Wow, mine is an 89, but it actually has square mounts. I swapped a 1j in last year, but i think it had custom mounts on it. Wow! I lucked out. I never understood why my "round" mounts looked so square haha! Mine must be an early 89.

yes the one on the left is the +89 1jz mount and the right one is a +897mgte mount so i dont understand this at all should it go in >?

so sometime in the life of your supra your car got a new motor and they used the mounts from a pre89...... those mounts will work in a supra but not your supra you need the bic pre89 mounts.

btw what part of maryland? i could maybe stop by to help out with the swap.
