I would buy it if it comes with that v8 and is light.

Didn't the old models weigh in the 3800lbs range?

I can't imagine it will be much lighter with RWD now.

I'm interested in what the KIA version will look like. :)

I was never much for the Korean cars, but have to admit, the 07 KIA Sedona van we have is excellent, and was 10k less than the Honda version of the same thing....

Would I buy a V8, or powerful V6 Kia coupe? Depends on the price, and performance, and of course, how it looks to me. :)

Would I sell the Supra to do it? Not likely.

looks good but... its still a huyndai. they look like nice cars and have a good waranty, but i still dont like the thought of knock-off japan cars

It wasn't that long ago (70's and early 80's) that the majority of cars made in Japan were viewed the same way that you currently view Korean cars. Funny how times change. Hyundai may surprise people in a couple of years.

They've been underpowered until now, by quite a bit. They have been sitting at ~170bhp for ~3000lbs of car for quite a while, which makes them slower than a lot of stuff out there - including the Rx350 SUV from Lexus, which is SAD when you're comparing sports cars to SUVs and losing. (Mind you, the Rx350 is pretty quick...)

Unless they are adding too much weight, even the smaller turbo 4 cylinder should be a decent improvement over what they offer now.

Mind you, if they do what everyone else seems to have done, and drop another 1000 lbs onto the frame, then even the 300bhp model is still only going to be average.

Well now, a Korean car that's RWD and turbo to boot.

I hope it comes with a free copy of Starcraft.

And one of their women. Seriously. I swear they kill most of the ugly ones before the age of 1.

im pretty sure it wont be badged as a tiburon. Something all new. Someone already said it, but the Japanese manufactures were looked down apon 20 years ago, and let me tell you, hyundai has come a long way since the pony. Their vans out accelerate some older ferrari's. Hyundai pays my bills and puts food on my table. Im happy to work for them, as they arnt going away, they are only selling more and more cars, suv's, and minivans. Keep in mind this is in Canada, but each week we receive minimum of 1400 hyundai's via ship, some weeks much more, around 4000. Thats a week. Girlfriend baught an 07 accent, shes had it for a year and not a problem yet

I had a tiburon and don't think it will hold up very well. I bought mine with 7k miles on it. went through a tranny at 20k miles and blew up the motor at 48k. when i say blew up, I mean 3 rods shattered into shrapnel embedded into the block. Hyundai is getting better not by luck, but they were re-using designs and parts by toyota. It was actually a big controversy between toyota and hyundai. one customer had an engine built for a 2nd gen tib. I compared the rods and pistons to one off of my 7m. They looked amazingly similar. the simple fact is, they are trying and they might become successful at the sport tuner market- but they won't ever, ever measure up to a supra.

The next srt-4? I remember when i was a senior in high school in 03 i went to go look at the srt-4s for a dd. The base was like 21k. All the dealer ships had a mark up price of 28k. So i hope there going to make alot of these cars.
